Choxi.com no longer works and nobody is saying why

Troubled flash sale e-retailer Choxi’s site has gone offline, its Facebook page has disappeared and executives aren’t saying why.
Visiting Choxi.com yields an error message saying the page is not working. A check of domain name registrar GoDaddy Operating Co. LLC shows Choxi.com is still taken. Choxi shoppers have taken to Twitter asking why the site isn’t up and if the company is in business. Choxi has not tweeted from its @shopchoxi handle since Aug. 21.
Choxi co-founder and chief merchandising officer Melina Ash and general counsel Cliff Schneider have not returned multiple requests for comment on why the site is down or if the company is operating.
Choxi, No. 48 in the Internet Retailer 2016 Top 500 Guide, recently faced allegations that it hasn’t been paying vendors or shipping merchandise to its customers. Choxi currently has an “F” rating with the Better Business Bureau, and shoppers have created a consumer complaint page on Facebook.
Choxi’s leadership changed in August when CEO Deepak Agarwal left the company, according to an email from Ash. In a subsequent interview, Schneider said the company hadn’t named a replacement for Agarwal and a handful of executives were handling the CEO’s role. “It’s a combination of folks that have a management and a retail background,” he said in August.
The company initially was known as NoMoreRack.com Inc. and rebranded as Choxi in April 2015, after Nordstrom Inc. filed a trademark infringement lawsuit against the company in 2012, claiming it had ownership of the “Rack” name when it came to e-commerce. The case was dismissed in February 2014.
