Amazon’s Quidsi launches a site for children’s clothes and shoes

First came such products as diapers, soap, children’s books, toys, housewares and organic goods, all of them existing as separate brands and sites but bound together by the guiding hand of a shared shopping cart and top-of-page tabs. The newest entrant, introduced today, joins a list of e-commerce operations that includes (baby supplies), (pet supplies) and (sports and activity gear for children). All the Quidsi sites have now added to the row of tabs across the top a tab with a “New” banner that says with the word “Clothing.” sells some 40,000 items from more than 150 brands, including Carter's, Keds, Joe's Jeans, Columbia Sportswear, Splendid and Pink Chicken, Quidsi says. Customers receive free one- or two-day delivery for orders of at least $35.
