E-commerce platform provider WebLinc Corp. is fortifying its management team with a pair of hires to fill newly created positions.

Pat Ferdig becomes the company’s vice president of alliances and channel relations, a new position. He’ll be responsible for building relationships with systems integrators and helping grow WebLinc’s business. Ferdig has been working with the company since May, but his hiring only recently became official, a WebLinc spokesman says. Ferdig was most recently the global director of alliances and channels at e-commerce software provider CloudCraze Software LLC.

“We’ve heard from several systems integrators wanting to build powerful commerce sites for their retail customers,” said Darren Hill, CEO and co-founder of WebLinc. “Pat will lead the effort in ensuring we quickly establish direct partnerships with experienced systems integrators and grab more market share.”

Meanwhile, Bill Tarbell becomes WebLinc’s first-ever vice president of marketing. Tarbell was most recently executive vice president of product and strategy at Tulip Retail, a mobile platform for Apple iOS devices designed to give retail store associates easier access to a retailer’s online inventory and more information about their customers. According to his LinkedIn profile, Tarbell has also worked at e-commerce platform provider Magento, Oracle and Lockheed Martin Corp.

Weblinc is the e-commerce platform provider for seven retailers in the Internet Retailer 2016  Top 1000, including Fanatics Inc. (No. 38), Urban Outfitters Inc. (No. 39) and Yarn.com (No. 691).
