Under Armour Inc. named Andy Donkin, an Amazon.con Inc. executive, as its chief marketing officer.

Donkin will oversee all marketing at Under Armour, No. 100 in the Internet Retailer 2016 Top 500 Guide, the sporting goods and apparel maker announced this week. He starts Aug. 22.

At Amazon (No. 1), Donkin was the head of worldwide mass and brand marketing. He was involved in creating and deploying creative campaigns for Amazon Prime, Amazon FireTV, Amazon tablets, Amazon Kindle, Amazon Echo and Amazon retail, Under Armour says. He also managed the global media budget and developing offline and online campaigns globally for North America, Europe and Asia.

Prior to Amazon, Donkin was senior vice president of global marketing and media at Travelocity, managing director at Ask.com and co-president at Tickets.com Inc., according to LinkedIn.

Under Armour also announced Kip Fulks as chief product officer and Colin Browne as president of global sourcing. Fulks has worked at Under Armour as an executive since the brand’s inception in 1996. Browne previously worked as vice president and managing director of apparel manufacturer VF Corp. (No. 92). He starts Sept. 6.

“I am excited to add new talent to our executive team as we continue to expand our business globally,” says Kevin Plank, founder and CEO at Under Armour. “Colin Browne and Andy Donkin bring unmatched expertise in their respective areas of focus and reflect our continued drive as an innovation company.”

For the second quarter ended June 30, Under Armour’s direct-to-consumer sales, which primarily are e-commerce sales, totaled $321 million for the quarter, up 27.9% from $251 million in the year-ago period. Those sales represent about 32% of total Q2 revenue.
