Speedo USA has promoted its senior vice president of sales to president.

John Graham takes over the top job at the swimwear manufacturer, replacing Jim Gerson, who left the company in May. A spokeswoman for Speedo, No. 650 in the Internet Retailer 2016 Top 1000, did not return a request for comment.

Prior to joining Speedo, Graham spent more than two years at surf and snow apparel retailer Quiksilver Inc. (No. 724) where he had a hand in the company’s e-commerce efforts, among other responsibilities. He also spent nearly 20 years working at Nike Inc. (No. 47), rising to become the athletic apparel manufacturer’s sales director.

“[Graham] possesses the ideal blend of sales expertise, success in building strong teams and intuitive sports business sense,” said Ken Duane, CEO of heritage brands and North America wholesale at Speedo parent PVH Corp.

According to Top500Guide.com, Speedo generated an Internet Retailer-estimated $17.4 million in online sales last year, up 25.2% from $13.9 million in 2014.
