Amazon, Overstock and Williams-Sonoma top January availability ratings

Overstock.com finished in first place among large retailers in January Internet Explorer availability tests, says Compuware Gomez. Last month, the retailer posted an availability score of 100% on Internet Explorer. Amazon.com and Williams-Sonoma.com finished atop Firefox testing with 100% availability.

Three e-commerce sites—Amway.com, JCPenney.com and Williams-Sonoma.com—tied for second for Internet Explorer tests with a score of 99.99% availability. CDW.com, HPShopping.com and OfficeMax.com came next, tied at 99.98%.

Gap.com came in second place in Firefox testing with a 99.99% availability rating. Six retailers tied for third place with a score of 99.98%.

The average Internet Explorer availability for the 23 retailers measured in January was 99.89%, according to the Compuware Gomez Benchmarks study. The average Firefox availability for the same group of retailers last month was 99.90%.
