Amazon.com Inc. has quietly hired an executive to beef up its supply chain leadership team.
Amazon, No. 1 in the Internet Retailer 2016 Top 500 Guide, hired Ed Feitzinger in June to be its new vice president of global logistics, according to Feitzinger’s LinkedIn profile. An Amazon representative did not return a request for comment, and the company has not publicly announced Feitzinger’s hiring.
Feitzinger had spent the past five and a half years in executive-level roles at supply chain management company UTi Worldwide Inc., eventually rising to become the company’s CEO in December 2014 before leaving UTi this past February. UTi was acquired by global transport and logistics provider DSV for $1.35 billion in a deal announced in October.
