Fast-growing jewelry maker Alex and Ani LLC is looking for a new head of e-commerce.
Ryan Bonifacino, senior vice president of digital and chief marketing officer, is headed back to school to pursue his MBA. The company, in announcing his departure, did not specify who would take over Bonifacino’s responsibilities or when that might happen.
Bonifacino had been with the company since 2010. Top500Guide.com data shows Alex and Ani, No. 279, has experienced steep online sales growth during that time growing to $80.9 million this year from $435,000 in 2010, an annual growth rate of 184.39%. His departure comes two weeks after Alex and Ani rolled out its first mobile app.
Bonifacino told Internet Retailer in an email that he plans to stay with Alex and Ani in an advisory role through the fourth quarter.
“With the confidence of our founder and CEO Carolyn Rafaelian, I was able to start and lead an industry-leading digital center of excellence from scratch that was built around the customer,” he says.
